Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Trend Alert Daily is operated by Virality Now LLC ("Virality Now," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit trendalertdaily.com, subscribe to the Service, or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: your name and email address when you sign up.
• Payment details: your card or other payment information, which is collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment, the last four digits of your card, and the card type. We never see or store your full card number.
• Messages: anything you send us by email, through a contact form, or through our Crisp live chat, including feedback and support requests. Crisp may also process the contact details you provide in chat, your IP address, device and browser information, and chat-session identifiers so the conversation can operate and continue.
• Testimonials or screenshots you choose to share with us.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: which pages you visit, which editions you open, links you click, and when.
• Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, screen size, and approximate location based on IP address.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see section 5.

Information from ad platforms

When you arrive at our site from an ad, the ad platform may pass us a click identifier so we can measure which ads lead to sign ups. See section 5 for the TikTok Pixel and other tracking tools.

We do not knowingly collect any sensitive categories of information such as health data, race, religion, or precise location.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account and send you the daily editions you subscribed to.
• Process payments, start and end free trials, and handle renewals and cancellations.
• Send transactional emails such as receipts, renewal reminders, password resets, and notices about changes to the Service or these policies.
• Send marketing emails about the Service, which you can opt out of at any time using the unsubscribe link.
• Respond to your questions and support requests.
• Understand how the site and editions are used so we can improve them.
• Measure and improve our advertising, including seeing which ads lead to sign ups.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security problems.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run the Service and act on our instructions: our payment processor (Stripe), email delivery provider (Resend), website hosting (Vercel), login and account management (Supabase), analytics (Google Analytics), and live chat and customer support provider (Crisp).
• Advertising platforms, currently including TikTok, which receive limited data through pixels and similar tools so we can measure ad performance and show ads to people likely to be interested. Under some state laws this counts as "sharing" for targeted advertising. See section 8 for how to opt out.
• Legal and safety recipients when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe sharing is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of Virality Now, our users, or others.
• A buyer or successor if Virality Now is involved in a merger, sale, or transfer of assets. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Cookies, pixels, and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website. Types we use:

• Essential cookies that keep you logged in and make the site work. Crisp also uses chat-session cookies or similar storage to deliver live support, remember the conversation during a session, and route replies. These cannot be turned off through our site while the chat service is in use.
• Analytics cookies that tell us how visitors use the site.
• Marketing cookies and pixels, including the Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel, which may record page visits, completed registrations, trial starts, and subscriptions to help us measure advertising. We may also send matching conversion events from our server using limited account and transaction data, including hashed identifiers. Browser and server events use a shared event identifier to reduce duplicate counting.

### Cookie Policy and your privacy choices

Analytics and targeted-advertising technologies are enabled by default. Essential technologies remain enabled because they provide security, authentication, billing, and Crisp support chat; Crisp data is used to provide support and is not repurposed by us for advertising.

Google Analytics helps us understand visits and site usage. Meta and TikTok advertising technologies help us measure advertising and conversions. When enabled, these providers may receive usage, device, conversion, and limited account or transaction information as described above and process it under their own policies.

You can opt out of targeted advertising at any time using the Your Privacy Choices link in the site footer. We store that choice and its timestamp in a first-party cookie for 180 days. Opting out prevents future Meta and TikTok browser and server conversion events; it does not disable analytics, essential services, or delete information received before your opt-out.

We recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt out of sharing for targeted advertising. When GPC is active, Meta and TikTok browser and server conversion events are suppressed. You can also control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of interest-based advertising through platform account settings.

Our emails may contain a small image or tracking link that tells us whether the email was opened or a link was clicked. You can block images in your email client to prevent open tracking.

6. How long we keep information

• Account and subscription information: for as long as your account is active, and then for up to 3 years for tax, accounting, and dispute purposes.
• Payment records: as long as required by tax and accounting law.
• Marketing email data: until you unsubscribe or your account is deleted, after which we keep your email on a suppression list so we do not email you again.
• Usage and analytics data: 24 months, or aggregated so it no longer identifies you.
• Support messages: 2 years after the request is closed.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, limited access to systems, and reputable third party providers for payment and hosting. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed without permission. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.

8. Your choices and rights

Everyone

• Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email. You will still get transactional emails about your account while you are a subscriber.
• Update your account details from your account page.
• Cancel your subscription from your account page or by emailing hello@trendalertdaily.com.
• Ask us to delete your account and personal information by emailing hello@trendalertdaily.com. We may keep some information where the law requires it or where we need it to resolve disputes.

California and other US state residents

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the sharing of your information for targeted advertising. You also have the right not to be treated differently for exercising these rights.

To exercise these rights, email hello@trendalertdaily.com with the subject line "Privacy request." We may need to verify your identity before acting. You can also ask an authorized agent to make a request for you. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of sharing for targeted advertising, select Your Privacy Choices in the site footer and turn off Targeted advertising, or enable the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser.

9. Children

The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not allow anyone under 18 to subscribe. If you believe a person under 18 has given us personal information, contact us at hello@trendalertdaily.com and we will delete it.

10. Third party links and platforms

Our editions link to content on TikTok and other platforms. Those platforms have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices. Trend Alert Daily is not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or any other platform.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If the change is material, we will email you or post a notice on the site before it takes effect. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
